Oh, I love it that you found this. How funny. I think if I hadn't seen them together I would have been a little confused about the butterfly pattern. It's not really 2004, is it? But it *sure* is 1972. Hilarious!

I would totally place the color picture in the 80s, myself, especially considering that Rowan (Classy, British Rowan!) uses shimmer yarn in theirs. And what up with the models? And the use of the same ribbing, for heaven's sake?

That's awfully nervy of Rowan, isn't it?? I have a hard time looking at either of them and seeing butterflies - it took me a while. Instead I see rows of diamond shapes, the negative space between the butterflies.
